Skin Care Tips........Bad Habits That Stand Between You And The Skin You Want

Today our skin has to work hard to stay healthy. As if the adverse effects caused by Pollution and toxins are not enough we contribute enormously in harming our skin. Skin is a miracle, just because it's in a constant state of renewal and shedding dead skin cells does not mean we will keep jeopardising it's effort in carrying out these natural functions.

All skin type needs regular care. Use these pointers to ensure you are not contributing to irritating your skin, i know am guilty of some of them:

Sleeping with makeup - make sure your skin is clean overnight so that it benefits from your body's natural restorative work. Makeup wipes help for those days you are too lazy to wash your face.

Stressing out - stress causes worry and frown lines, it produces hormones that wreak havoc on your skin. The next time you catch yourself stressing over little things, think of the harm you are causing your skin.

Drinking too little water - your dull skin might be a result of dehydration. 8-10 eight ounce of water is the standard but i know i cant drink that much. my advice: drink enough to flush out impurities and hydrate your skin.

Skipping sunscreen - i know most people will argue this for whatever reason but think about it, will you rather get treatment for an ailment you can prevent? wear sunscreen with high SPF anytime you are outdoors, your skin will thank you later.

Not eating enough fruits and vegetables - the best natural occurring vitamins and antioxidants found in fruits and veggies, which protect the cells by neutralising damaging and ageing free radicals.

Wearing oil based makeup and moisturizers - the formulas tend to clog your pores. Same goes for greasy pomades and hair sprays which can rundown your face and cause breakouts.

Our facial skin is the barometer of our general well-being. The products we use, the food we eat , our emotional state affects our skin. So determine the type of skin you want and incoporate the treatments that work best for you into your daily life.
You don't always have to spend too much to get a beautiful skin.

Restart your 2012, commit to getting the skin you 've always wanted.
